Abandoned after the Guatemalan civil war, the villagers have since dedicated their crop to cacao and cultivated fine flavored beans that Goodnow Farms fell in love with. In admiration of the village’s dedication to the crop, they funded the materials necessary for the villagers to build a new facility for fermentation and drying the beans, allowing for consistent, high quality cacao.
